Starting in May, MDOT will resurface 3.2 miles of M-14/US-23 between the east and west tri-levels along the northern edge of Ann Arbor.
Starting in July, MDOT will make improvements along 9 miles of I-94 from M-14 to Carpenter.
On Monday, May 13, 2013 at 9:30am, the Michigan Department of Transportation will be holding an informational meeting at the Pittsfield Charter Township Hall, 6201 W. Michigan Avenue, Ann Arbor, Michigan to allow business owners to get more information on the project. [more]

The Washtenaw Area Transportation Study (WATS) is developing the 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan. The Plan addresses transportation system deficiencies including transit, safety, bridges, non-motorized, congestion and pavement condition through 2040. Provide your comments on the 2040 Long Range Plan proposed projects by February 28th. January

All road improvements have been coordinated by the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) and City of Ann Arbor (which is on the border at Ellsworth and has, as a city, independent jurisdiction over its streets). Opportunities for public input have not been afforded by the WCRC but it is important for Pittsfield Township to share all the information that has been made available to us.

In order to assist local snow removal operations, residents are asked to place their waste and/or recycling cart in a location that will not interfere with snow removal operations. Carts should be placed near the street but not in the street. This will allow snow plow trucks to remove the maximum amount of snow and ice from the street. Carts must be placed in a location where the cart can be accessed and serviced by the truck from the street. Do not place carts behind or near any stationary objects such as cars, trees, mailboxes, light poles, etc...

Freezing and thawing cycles lead to potholes in the spring. In addition to a
toll-free pothole line, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has posted a form on
the MDOT Web site to encourage motorists to report potholes on state roads. Reports of potholes
on state roads (M, I and U.S. roads only) will be routed to the nearest MDOT Transportation
Service Center (TSC). To report a pothole, call 888-296-4546, around-the-clock, seven days a week, or use the "Report Potholes" link on the MDOT Website at www.michigan.gov/mdot.
