Updating Your Registration Name and Address: If you move, change your name, or need to make a correction to your registration, you may update your voter registration in person or by mail. Michigan law requires that you use the same name and address for both your driver’s license and your voter registration, so if you change one, the data system will automatically change the other. You may update your voter registration by mail or at any of the locations listed above.
Absentee Voting: To vote by Absent Voter Ballot, call 822-3120, or email clerk@pittsfield-mi.gov. You may request a single election ballot application or ask to be on the Permanent AV application list. You must fill out an AV application before each election to receive an absentee ballot.
If you have already registered by mail and will not be available to vote in person on Election Day, visit the Clerk’s Office to have an election official witness your signature, so we can send you an absentee ballot.
New Voter Identification Requirement: Due to a recent court ruling, every Michigan voter who offers to vote in the polls must comply with the new requirement by showing picture identification or signing an affidavit attesting that he or she is not in possession of picture identification.
Voters without picture identification: Michigan election law anticipates that not all voters will have picture identification. Voters who do not bring picture identification to the polls or do not possess picture identification can still vote like any other voter by signing an affidavit.
Precinct Voting Location: Refer to your voter identification card for your precinct number and then click here to see your precinct’s voting location. If you are not sure of your precinct number, click here to go to the Secretary of State's personalized voter information site. After you enter your name, the site will display your voting location, and you may choose to see your ballot.
Feel free to contact the Clerk's Office at (734) 822-3120 to verify your precinct number and voting location.
